Use Arix from a phone
There's no app to install. Your phone opens the office's Arix in its web browser, with your own chats, groups and memory.
If you already use Arix
On any Mac with Arix, the office computer or one that joined, sign your phone in as you with a one-time code:
- In Arix, open Settings › Use Arix on your phone and click Show a code.
- Point your phone's camera at the code and tap the link. Arix opens, signed in as you.
- The code works once, for 5 minutes. Need another? Click New code.
If you're new to the office
- Ask your admin for the office's Arix address. On an office Mac it's in Settings › Office › Phones and PCs, with a code to scan; on an office PC, in Settings › Phones and other computers.
- Open it on your phone and use Ask to join.
- Your admin approves you on the office computer, the same as a Mac or PC joining.
iPhone and iPad: trust the office Mac once
Before Safari opens the office's Arix, an iPhone or iPad needs to trust the office Mac, once per device:
- On the office Mac, an admin opens Settings › Office and clicks Send to a phone with AirDrop.
- On the phone: Settings › Profile Downloaded › Install.
- Then Settings › General › About › Certificate Trust Settings, and turn on the office Mac.
Other phones and browsers open the address after one warning.
Away from the office
At the office, your phone needs to be on the office Wi‑Fi. Away from it, connect the way your admin set up for the office, such as a VPN.
