Add people and choose what they can do

Everyone in the office gets their own sign-in, chats and memory. Admins add people and decide what each person may do, in Team on the office computer.

Two ways in

  • They join from their own Mac, PC or phone and you approve them. Usually the easiest: see joining the office.
  • You add them in Team and give them a username and a first password, for someone who'll sign in on the office computer itself, or anywhere with their username.

Add a person

  1. On the office computer, open Team and click Add person.
  2. Type their Name. Arix suggests a Username from it, which you can change. Choose Member or Admin.
  3. Arix shows their sign-in details once. Click Copy both, to send and send them to the person.
  4. The first time they sign in, Arix asks them to choose their own password.

Admins and members

  • Members chat, keep their own memory and use group chats. They don't see anyone else's chats or memory.
  • Admins also manage models, people and settings on the office computer.

Choose what each person can do

Each member's row in Team has switches of its own:

  • Run code: whether Arix may run code and commands for them. Off until you turn it on.
  • Web search: whether Arix may search the web for them. On to start with.
  • Any model…: let them build with any model for a while, such as two days or a week, with a spending limit.

Seats

Each person takes a seat on the license. Team shows how many are in use. Turning someone off frees their seat. Someone who joins again from another device, like their phone or a new Mac, doesn't take another.

Turn off or remove someone

  1. In Team, open the person's menu and choose Turn off…. They can't sign in, their seat is free again, and nothing is deleted.
  2. To delete them for good, choose Remove… (it appears once they're turned off). Their chats, memories, lists, devices and saved sign-ins are deleted, and the username can be used again. It can't be undone.
